During 2009 MES embarked on a journey to define its culture and work ethics in partnership with a foreign donor and Bluprint company. This was a consultative process that involved all staff. The methodology applied by Bluprint is that they define the DNA of a company in a mathematical formula. The icons are those principles the company will strive to achieve and the icons are the ones the company will strive to eliminate. Every quarter the staff will do a scoring to measure the implementation of the formula. These reports will assist MES management to constantly evaluate “theway we do business” and to hold each other accountable. The final “success formula”was then turned into artwork by the MES clients in the art centre. These icons are now a constant reminder of our work ethics.
