Our Service Units
MES has always been challenged by the drive to be “everything to everyone” especially if it meant addressing the pressing needs of the individuals and communities we reach out to. Many of the initiatives within the Johannesburg branch owes their existence to that drive and has developed into major programmes providing specialised services to the poor and destitute. The risk of such a drive is that one engages in exceptional growth and stands the chance to become an organisation that is unfocussed and not living out its core purpose. For this reason, MES has decided to focus its services to the destitute and homeless community within the following service units: Poverty Alleviation, Spiritual and Community Enrichment; Education & Skills development; and Professional Health and Social Work services.
